Interlace, a provider of card issuance and digital asset management solutions, has announced the completion of a $10 million Series B1 funding round. The investment round, spearheaded by Bitrock Capital, included participation from seasoned fintech professionals, many of whom have held leadership positions at firms like Klarna and Robinhood.
The company, which launched in 2019, has emerged as a significant player in cross-border financial services, having issued over 4.5 million cards and processed 60 million transactions annually. This funding will fuel Interlace’s expansion into critical markets such as Asia-Pacific, the U.S., and the U.K., while also reinforcing its workforce to support a diverse range of clients.
Interlace’s recent expansion includes the addition of four senior executives. Rob Vanden Broeke will serve as Head of Global Financial Partners, focusing on building banking and fintech partnerships. Jeff Brunjes, now Head of Global Operations, brings a wealth of experience in institutional finance to refine operational procedures. Mark Homeier, with two decades of experience in fintech and blockchain, takes on the role of Head of Marketing and Business Development, driving global strategies. JP Eaglin joins as Creative Director and Strategic Partnerships to oversee marketing initiatives and foster partnerships.
Michael Wu, Founder and CEO of Interlace, pointed out that the latest funding and new leadership align with the company’s aim to stengthen its international presence and deliver financial solutions.
Bitrock Capital voiced its confidence in Interlace's potential. Founding Partner Alfred Shang noted the firm’s commitment to supporting Interlace as it broadens its reach, helping businesses adapt to the evolving global trade and finance landscape.
