Mesh has announced the completion of an $82 million Series B funding round, increasing its total raised capital to over $120 million. Paradigm led the investment, with participation from Consensys, QuantumLight Capital, Yolo Investments, and others. The funding round introduced a notable shift in venture financing, as the majority of the investment was transacted using PayPal USD (PYUSD), a stablecoin. This method enabled instant settlement, reflecting an evolving trend in digital asset funding.
The company operates a crypto payments network that allows users to pay with digital assets while merchants receive settlements in stablecoins. Its infrastructure supports transactions across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other cryptocurrencies, reducing the need for manual conversions. Mesh has integrated with platforms such as MetaMask, Shift4, and Revolut, expanding access to its services across more than 100 countries. With this latest funding, Mesh plans to scale its API offerings and broaden the adoption of stablecoin-based payments in global commerce.
The use of stablecoins in payments continues to gain traction, with transaction volumes surpassing $27.6 trillion in 2024. Mesh's SmartFunding technology facilitates the automated conversion of cryptocurrencies into stablecoins, allowing merchants to receive payments in their preferred settlement asset. The company aims to enhance the accessibility of digital asset transactions while supporting businesses in adapting to the increasing role of stablecoins in financial ecosystems. The additional capital will support further development of its payment network and integration with more financial platforms.
