Kamigotchi, a blockchain-based idle-MMORPG integrating pet-raising, strategy, and player-versus-player (PVP) mechanics, has raised $1.3 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Seed Club, with participation from TempleDAO, DCFGod, and additional backers. The funding will be used to advance the game's development as it moves toward a mainnet launch.


Designed as a fully onchain game, Kamigotchi incorporates a reputation system, in-game progression, and competitive elements within a decentralized ecosystem. Players can raise digital companions, engage in battles, and interact with an economy structured around blockchain transactions. A playtest is currently open, allowing participants to qualify for an upcoming NFT mint by earning 200 in-game reputation points.
