VIA

VIA, a company specializing in decentralized data and identity protection, has secured $28 million in Series B funding. The investment round was led by Bosch Ventures, with participation from BMW i Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and Sentinel Global. Existing investor Westly Group also joined the round. The funding aims to accelerate the adoption of VIA’s quantum-resistant, passwordless security solutions, which are designed for governments and enterprises. The platform, tested by the U.S. Department of Defense, focuses on securing data across internal systems, external partners, IoT devices, and AI agents.

VIA's technology provides enterprises with decentralized identity management and quantum-resistant encryption, addressing vulnerabilities associated with traditional network security. With cloud applications expanding, conventional security methods are increasingly susceptible to large-scale breaches. VIA's zero-trust architecture offers an alternative, ensuring controlled and auditable access. The company plans to scale its platform to meet growing enterprise demand for enhanced cybersecurity.

The firm’s approach has gained traction in industries undergoing digital transformation, including automotive and manufacturing. Bosch Ventures highlighted VIA’s potential impact on supply chain security, while BMW i Ventures emphasized the need for secure data flows in connected systems. MassMutual Ventures, with expertise in financial and infrastructure sectors, pointed to VIA’s interoperability across software and hardware. The funding will support the company’s expansion into new enterprise markets.
