The investment round drew participation from multiple firms, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z Crypto), Electric Capital, Lvna Capital, FTDA, Protagonist, Karatage, RW3 Ventures, Comma3 VC, and Raptor Group. The funding will support the expansion of Walrus’ programmable storage infrastructure, which is designed to accommodate AI datasets, blockchain records, and rich media content.

The company’s approach emphasizes data verification and programmability, moving beyond conventional storage solutions. Walrus aims to provide a scalable and decentralized alternative for handling complex data workloads. Built on Sui Network, the platform is positioned to facilitate storage solutions tailored to blockchain and AI applications.
